Gum corrections

Why gum corrections?

Periodontal gum corrections are used to prevent tooth loss, gingival infections or other periodontal diseases. Receding gums can expose vulnerable areas of the tooth and create gum pockets which are pools for bacteria. Gum correction could lower the gum line and seal the tissue again.

Equally, gum corrections can make the appearance of your smile less “gummy” or generally more in balance. "Gummy smiles" is often the term used to describe a person who shows a large portion of their gums as they smile. Although gummy smiles are a normal variation of the human anatomy, they can affect people’s confidence and embarrass them.
